Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line represents an expertly crafted solution to the complex demands of dolomite calcination. This rotary kiln is meticulously engineered with precision to cater to the distinct calcining characteristics of dolomite and the stringent process demands of the esteemed Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. As the linchpin of the calcining system, it delivers efficiency and precision unmatched in the industry. The products produced by this state-of-the-art rotary kiln exhibit remarkable stability and consistent quality,boasting high reactivity and minimal loss on ignition. It flawlessly meets the rigorous requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting, enhancing the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing silicon utilization to significantly lower production costs and metallic magnesium consumption.Standing as the indispensable equipment for dolomite calcination, it is a pivotal asset in the magnesium manufacturing sector.
The complete process of magnesium smelting unfolds through a series of meticulous stages, ensuring precision at every step.The journey begins with raw material storage, followed by dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is broken down into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is then uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature is raised to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to yield finished magnesium ingots.
