The comprehensive process of magnesiumsmelting unfolds through a series of meticulous stages: beginning with the strategic storage of raw materials, followed by dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in the critical phases of reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is broken down into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered efficiently in a rotary kiln, cooled adeptly in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This fine powder is then compressed into balls using a ball press, ensuring superior cohesion. The calcined dolomite is then uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to a precise 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into high-quality ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to yield pristine finished magnesium ingots.
