Within this thermal haven, zinc metal compounds undergo a remarkable transformation, reduced by carbon into zinc vapor that ascends into the gas phase. In this ethereal state, zinc vapor dances with oxygen, becoming zinc oxide dust, beautifully captured by the advanced dust collection system alongside the flue gas. The result is an exquisite extraction of low-grade zinc oxide. Metals rich in zinc, like lead and indium, are also transformed, enhancing the product further, while copper and noble metals such as gold and silver remain as valuable inhabitants of the kiln slag.
