Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully designed rotary kiln, crafted with precision to handle the distinct calcining properties of dolomite and the exacting process demands of the renowned Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This kiln is the cornerstone of the dolomite calcining operation, offering unmatched efficiency and precision. products produced by this cutting-edge rotary kiln exhibit remarkable stability and uniform quality, featuring high reactivity and minimal loss on ignition, seamlessly satisfying the stringent requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This innovative design boosts magnesium extraction rates while enhancing silicon utilization, dramatically reducing production costs and conserving metallic magnesium,. It is the essential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium production industry.
The entire magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a series of precise stages: starting with raw material storage, proceeding through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and ending with reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is broken into ideal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then compacted into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, temperatures are elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to produce finished magnesium ingots.
