It is the essential equipment for dolomite calcination, a cornerstone in the magnesium industry.
The comprehensive magnesiumproduction process unfolds through carefully sequenced stages: starting with raw material storage, proceeding through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is crushed to ideal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, followed by sintering in a rotary kiln, cooling in a cooler, and fine grinding in a ball mill. This powder is then transformed into compact balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is meticulously blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a uniform mixture, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. In the reduction furnace, temperatures ascend to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where unrefined magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface finishing to produce high-quality magnesium ingots.
